I’ve got a copier paper box full of Lego bits and pieces. Lots of stuff, including some unopened kits. There’s a member of my CAP squadron with a bunch of kids and an older (2007) MacBook with a 256GB SSD. Would this be a fair trade? I have no idea how to price this stuff. He got the computer for $45, and I bought the Lego stuff by the pound, so we each got sweet deals on our respective purchases.

I can give you a bag of M&Ms and an iPhone case for your Legos.

No, kids have high upkeep costs. Just take the laptop.

If there’s a paid-off iPhone 6S Plus, at least 64GB in that case, you’ve got a deal.

Good one! That’s what I get for trying to write something quickly before heading out the door.

I actually just watched a LEGO documentary because I have so much raw sex appeal.
Most parts are a few cents, but some parts are worth much more because they have been out of production for decades.
LEGO is weird.

I’ll give you $20.
Canadian dollars that is.

But LEGO is banned in Canada due to the Hans Island standoff

It’s okay as long as I hand you the cash under the table and you kick the box to me while looking away...

I had a shit ton years ago - a lot of rare and expensive stuff. I gave it away when I moved out of my folk’s house but later regretted it. I could probably retire on what that stuff was worth. Yeah, it makes no sense whatsoever...

How many Legos exactly? (By weight, I mean) That sounds like a bad trade to me.

Bad for who?
I didn't weigh it, but it's a standard letter-sized copier paper box, the kind that will fill the footwell of the average compact car.

For you, but it seems better now. For some reason I was picturing a giant tub of them.

Copier paper box full might be 10-12 lbs? Im guessing $80-$120 worth of LEGO.

That’s a bad trade. The Mac will be a useless brick before too long, because it will be too old to update. Bulk used Legos go for $8-10 a pound.

I'm more interested in moving the SSD to my MacBook Pro. The computer is secondary at best.
